Community Outsources Security Services
Written by Tamrat GebregiorgisThe board of directors of the Bole Beshale Sunshine Construction Homeowners` Association has outsourced the security services of the village to a private company, Menta Security & Human Resources Plc. Members of the board met two weeks ago to decide on the offers made by no less than five security companies, where two were found technically qualified during an evaluation made by a subcommittee of four assigned by the board in November 2017.
Menta was selected for the job after its offer of 43,700 Birr monthly fee for a deployment of 25, including a superintendent, was found competent to what its second bidder, GOH Security Services Plc, has offered at 800 Birr more, but for a deployment of 23 security personnel, including a superintendent.
Members of the board have agreed to offer a contract to Menta for no less than a one year term, which was followed up by a negotiation involving the Chairman, Ato Gebeyehu Tebeje and his deputy, Ato Negede Abera, and the company`s senior managers. The contract was signed on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, after an agreement was reached for the security company to begin services in five days, according to association leaders.
